The reason I should have an edit-access account is that I have a good attention to detail and am dedicated to the idea of wiki's having all the information that they can. The point of a wiki is to contain all of the procedures, information, and content of its subject. However in addition, a wiki also needs to have regular maintenance and improvements, or else they can potentially become rapidly deprecated. Having a number of people trusted with updating and editing a wiki will help ensure that the wiki itself stays up to date and relevant. As well, more people with edit access will also mean more people proof-reading articles the ability to change them, leading to a decrease in small mistakes.

In particular, I am requesting edit access for general use, but my first project is going to be a revision of the personal space station page to include the information on the factories that have been added since the page was made, as well as information such as the construction and production resource requirements. I am also working on a spreadsheet to help people calculate their production rates and resources required per day/week/month to operate their factories.
